The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has invited Project Proposals under Participation Programme for the biennium 2020-2021. This programme is meant to support public community organization in their endeavor to alleviate poverty, promote literacy primary education, improve environment and establish recreational facilities for sustainable development. The Participation Programme functions as a vital complement to UNESCO’s regular activities by analyzing, evaluating and facilitating the implementation of national, sub-regional, inter-regional and regional projects submitted by Member States and NGOs directly related to the activities of the Organization. Furthermore, it serves as a means employed by UNESCO to strengthen the partnership between the Organization and its Member States as well as between the Organization and Non-Governmental Organizations in official partnership with UNESCO. Thus the Participation Programme enhances the inclusive and generous spirit of UNESCO’s noble mission. 

The 40th session of the General Conference decided that for the 2020-2021 biennium the total value of the assistance provided for each request should not be in excess of:

US$26,000 for a national project or activity

US$28,000 for a sub-regional or interregional project or activity

US$38,000 for a regional project or activity. 

The undersigned has been directed to share herewith announcement in subject connection along-with the Circular Letter for perusal and participation in subject Programme by your esteemed Higher Education Institution (HEI).
