The Annals of PIMS https://www.apims.net/index.php/apims (Print: 1815-2287, Online: 2075-7247) is an Official quarterly and open access journal of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU), Pakistan.

Previously two separate medical journals of this institute (PIMS) were being published, namely JPIMS started from 1990 and the Journal of Surgery 1991. They were officially merged into one journal APIMS in 2005.

On May 14, 2014 the academic council and syndicate committee of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) unanimously approved the “Annals of PIMS as an official journal of SZABMU.

Annals of PIMS is approved by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC and indexed in multiple International agencies like EuroPub UK, ICI (Index Copernicus), BASE Germany, Cross Ref, Asian Digital, PASTIC, Islamic World Science Citation center and PakMediNet.

Annals of PIMS follows the guidelines of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME) and Pakistan Association of Medical Editors (PAME). Annals of PIMS discourages falsification and fabrication of data, plagiarism, misappropriation of ideas of others, improprieties of authorship and violation of generally accepted research practices. Authors involved in scientific misconduct may be black listed and barred from further submissions. More details can be found here:
